Ses principales phases d\u2019utilisation datent de l\u2019Ancien Empire et du d\u00e9but du Moyen Empire.<\/p>\n<p>Les travaux men\u00e9s par la mission franco-\u00e9gyptienne d\u2019Ayn Soukhna depuis 2001 ont permis de comprendre la fonctionnalit\u00e9 du site ainsi que la chronologie de son occupation.
